This was the latest, working release of UC Workbench I. It is built on Eclipse 3.2. It is incompatible with UC Workbench 2. Some features:
- Eclipse 3.2 based,
- Artifacts (actors, use cases) are stored in text files,
- Editors for: actors, business objects, use cases,
- Simple screen editor,
- Documentation generator - it generates documentation with the use of velocity templates (templates can be altered). Built-in templates for:
- Mockup - set of html pages presenting use cases with screen designs,
- SRS - latex templates for Software Requirements Specification based on IEEE 830-1998,
- Effort estimation - Use Case Points method supported with Delphi method for collective transaction identification,
- Reviews - you can publish your set of use cases as a web-app and then ask someone to review them. It supports capture-recapture model.
Change log
There are some bugs we are aware of, but as long as you know how to cope with them you should be able to work quite comfortably. The most important of them are:
- problems with editing use-case file - open file in text editor and see whether steps ids (uniqe identifiers after step number) are placed properly. If you are writing use case in text editor, copy-paste id from another step and change id so it is still unique;
